Property Maintenance
A clear guide to junk removal. What we take and what we cannot.
From mattresses to renovation debris, here is what fits in the truck and what needs a special pickup.
Junk removal sounds simple until you call three companies and get three different lists of what they accept. Here is exactly what Lastminute trucks haul and what we have to redirect to a licensed facility.
We take: residential furniture, mattresses and box springs, appliances including fridges and washers, electronics, yard waste, construction and renovation debris from small jobs, garage cleanouts, hot tubs broken down, and bagged household junk.
"When others don't show up, we do."
We do not take: hazardous waste, leftover paint, motor oil, propane tanks, asbestos, fuel, or any biohazard outside our trained scope. These all require licensed disposal sites and a specific manifest. We will point you to the right Metro Vancouver depot for each.
Before we leave your address, we sort. Anything in working condition goes to donation. Anything recyclable goes to a Metro Vancouver materials recovery facility. Only the unusable remainder goes to landfill. Last year that meant just under 60 percent of every load we picked up avoided the dump.
Pricing is by volume, not by item. A quarter truck handles a small condo declutter. A full truck handles a garage or a basement. We give a flat quote on arrival before we lift anything, so you know the number before the work starts.
